Propositions Manager, Absa Bank Ghana

Georgette Amoako is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM) with over 23 years of experience in Finance and Marketing.

She has had professional experience in several sectors since 2002 in Ghana and the United Kingdom (UK). Georgette’s initial professional experience was working at several UK debt collection and sub-prime financial corporations including Westcott Financial Services, Thames Credit Limited, and Welcome Finance Limited. She worked in several portfolios including as a financial negotiator with debt defaulters, product developer, and customer service and data management.

Georgette set up Adinkra Consult upon her return to Ghana in 2005 to organise events and provide third-party marketing consultancy, project management, and artiste management. This subsequently evolved into Globescanner Co. Ltd in 2016. Globescanner is a travel and tour company providing bespoke services to customers. Georgette joined Charterhouse Ghana Limited, an events management organisation as the Event Manager in 2006 till 2008. .​

​ In 2008, she joined Barclays Bank Ghana Limited (BBG) as the Events and Protocol Manager. To diversify professionally, Georgette joined Business Banking of Barclays (subsequently Absa Bank Ghana) in 2015 as a Corporate Relationship Manager. This role entailed supporting business account customers with banking and financial advice.

​ Currently, as the Propositions Manager for SMEs for the bank, she facilitates entrepreneurial training, business and product development, networking, and capital access for some SMEs in Ghana especially Women and Startups.

​ Georgette is a proud alumna of Oda Secondary School, Australian Institute of Business, Greenwich School of Management and Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM), UK. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Marketing.
