Jana Bante


Senior Policy Officer, Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development Germany ​​

Jana Bante is a Senior Policy Office at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Before joining the BMZ, she coordinated International Cooperation Projects with a focus on quality standards, metrology, and regional integration on the African continent at the German National Metrology Institute (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, PTB). As part of her postgraduate studies, she contributed to research on the link between e-government and democracy.

Currently, she works at BMZ’s Trade Division on topics such as e-commerce, the African Continental Free Trade Area, Quality Infrastructure, as well as Trade and Gender.
