DHL understands the inconvenience of losing belongings at airports and is pleased to offer an international shipping service to assist customers in retrieving their lost items.

Service Procedure

1.  
Check Lost Item Availability: Contact the airport’s lost and found center or the hotel front desk to check if your lost item is being held. Please make sure to confirm the item description and reference number.
2.   Submit DHL Request: Please complete the DHL Lost Item International Shipping Request Form. (Click here) Make sure to include the item description and reference number you confirmed in the previous step.
3.   Service Availability & Customs Guidance: DHL will review whether international shipping is available for your item. We will then inform you of the estimated shipping cost and any required customs documentation
4.   Pickup, Measurement & Payment: DHL will pick up the item from the designated location (airport or hotel), measure the item, and confirm the final shipping cost. Payment is accepted by credit card only. Once payment is completed, the item will be shipped internationally.

Important Notices

  • Please note that customs duties may be imposed locally upon arrival in the destination country. Failure to submit required customs documents may result in seizure or return by customs.
  • Changes in package weight or dimensions after packaging may incur additional shipping charges.
  • Some items, such as liquids, flammable materials, batteries, cash, and food items, may be ineligible for shipment.
  • Once items are picked up from the lost-and-found center, cancellation or return is not possible.
  • DHL cannot provide service to lost-and-found center addresses where pickup is not available.
